Congratulations to Chavares Flanigan who has signed a one-year deal with Braunschweig in the German BBL for the 2024-25 season. Chavares and Braunschweig will also be playing in this year’s FIBA Europe Cup.

The Hanover Park, Illinois native and University of Wisconsin Parkside alum has had a meteoric rise since signing with Slan Sports in 2021.

Chavares went from Norway to doing two seasons in the German Pro A league (with Paderborn and Vechta), before solidifying himself as a strong German BBL player with Vechta last season, averaging 8.6 points (49.1% 2FG, 42.0% 3FG), 2.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per contest.
