Congratulations to Ryan Stephan who has signed a one year deal with Soles de Mexicali in Mexico’s LNBP for the 2023-24 season.

This is the first professional contract outside of Japan for the Lakewood, Colorado native and Colorado Mesa alum, who made a strong impression in the country he called home for the last six years.

Ryan had great demand in the Asian market due to his size, talent and eye popping numbers each year. In a crazy statistical feat, Ryan averaged a double-double in 4 of his 6 professional seasons in Japan (one of the two seasons he didn’t average a double-double, he had 9.8 rebounds per contest).

Last year, Ryan averaged 17.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He is a high IQ, stretch big man, who has averaged over 2 assists per game the last four years, while shooting 39.9% from three last season.
