Jordan Clarke Signs New Contract In Norway

TORONTO, September 15, 2017 – Slan Sports Management is pleased to announce that Jordan Clarke has signed a one-year contract with Gimle BBK Bergen in the Norwegian BLNO.

Clarke, a 6’2’’ guard, played the last two seasons for the Glasgow Rocks in the United Kingdom (BBL). Unfortunately, his 2016-2017 campaign was cut short because of injury after just four games. During his 2015-2016 season in Glasgow, Clarke averaged 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 16.3 minutes per game. He shot efficiently from both two-point and three-point field goal range, making 48.1% and 37.9% respectively.

Clarke, an Oakville, Ontario native, holds both Canadian and British passports. He made the jump to the BBL after spending four collegiate seasons with St. Francis Xavier University of the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) division in U Sports, formerly known as Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS). Clarke helped lead the X-Men to a third place finish at the 2012 CIS Final 8 Championships with 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in the Bronze Medal Game. In his final season with the X-Men, he averaged 11.9 points and 2.9 assists in 31.4 minutes per game.

“I can’t wait to be playing basketball this upcoming season,” said Clarke. “The road to recovery is finally over and I am excited to be playing with Gimle Basketball Club.”

Gimle BBK finished last season in third place with a 17-10 record, before making it all the way to the finals of the BLNO playoffs.
