Chris Brady Signs First Professional Contract In Germany

TORONTO, August 8, 2017 – Slan Sports Management is pleased to announce that Chris Brady has signed his first professional contract with Hebeisen White Wings Hanau of the German Pro A league.

Brady, a 6’10” center, is coming off of his senior year with Monmouth University, competing in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). In his senior season, Brady averaged 9.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game over 34 appearances. Brady led the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 58.1%, while finishing ninth in the conference in rebounds and third in blocks. He helped lead Monmouth to the MAAC regular season championship for the second season in a row, along with reaching the MAAC Tournament semi finals for the second time.

A Greenlawn, New York native, Brady attended Harborfields High School before committing to Monmouth University. In his freshman year, Brady led his team in blocks per game, averaging 0.9 over 33 contests. In his junior year, and first as a starter, Brady finished sixth in the conference with 1.6 blocks per game, and was 14th in rebounding with 5.9 per game. Brady helped lead the Hawks to the finals of the MAAC Tournament, while also reaching the National Invitation Tournament Sweet 16.

Brady is excited to begin his professional career with Hanau, and is hoping to be an impact player in his first season.

Hanau finished the 2016-17 campaign 11th in the Pro A standings with a 13-17 record.

Now we hope to continue his development here in Hanau. We believe Chris can be a good low post scorer, a dominating rebounder, and a guy who protects the rim in our defense.
