TORONTO, August 2, 2017 – Slan Sports Management is pleased to announce that Brandi Harvey-Carr has signed her first professional contract with Widzew Łódź of Poland’s Basket Liga Kobiet (BLK).

Harvey-Carr, a 6’4 center, is coming off of her senior season at the University of Pittsburgh in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of the NCAA. In 30 games with Pittsburgh, Harvey-Carr ranked second on her team in scoring with 9.6 points per game, second on her team in rebounding with 4.7 per game, and 12th in the ACC with 1.0 block per game. She finished the season shooting 49.8% from two-point range and 34.7% from behind the arc.

A Camden, New Jersey native, Harvey-Carr attended Leap Academy, where she was a two-time MVP and the 2012 South Jersey scoring leader. She then began her collegiate career with DePaul University, but was injured after just six games in her freshman year. In her three full seasons at DePaul, Harvey-Carr helped the team secure the Big East regular season championship three times, win the Big East tournament twice, and qualify for the NCAA Sweet 16 twice. After her junior season, she transferred to Pittsburgh for her final year of eligibility.

Harvey-Carr is excited and motivated for her first season overseas.

“I am extremely excited to begin the next chapter of my life as a professional basketball player,” said Harvey-Carr. “I am very appreciative to the Widzew organization for allowing me the opportunity to play the sport that I love and travel the world. I intend to have an impact on and off the court; helping my teammates as well as myself get better each and every day.”

Widzew Łódź finished the 2016-2017 BLK season with a 3-19 record.
